Aireene is a singer/songwriter playing mostly original songs accompanied by latin/african rhythms, folk, bluegrass pickings and inspirations from gospel music - a mix of stompin', swayin', and timeless Americana.
She was born in the Philippines and moved to the United States at 10 years old, growing up in the third culture: the old country, the new country and a blend of both worlds. Mainly influenced by listening to Alan Lomax's field recordings from the South and growing up listening to her uncles' Filipino folk guitar fingerpicking, her music is reminiscent of front porch storytelling, of ghosts and the living, times of laughter and tears. She tours solo as well as with her band as Aireene & The Itch, a mix of San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles musicians.
California native Deborah is an intimate and edgy artist whose lyric driven and soul-wise music has drawn comparison to Lucinda Williams, and Chrissie Hynde. She's recorded three full-length CDs of original music, toured the North and Southwest, received national airplay, spoken on creativity at MacWorld and SXSW, and was named to Music Connection magazine’s 2012′s HOT 100 Live Unsigned Artists & Bands. Her latest CD "Beauty Everywhere" was produced by Art Khu.
Yours Truly, Michele
Michele Kappel began singing onstage as a teenager, when she donned a head-to-toe white leotard and crooned “Sex in Wetsuits” as part of the multi-media avant theater company Impossible Industrial Action. While she’s covered a lot of musical and literal ground since her formative performative days with that fearless Mid-Atlantic theater troupe, the Baltimore native’s latest venture, Yours Truly, Michele, may best capture the heady mix of influences and experiences she can bring to any party simply by showing up.
With a sound infused with 60s pop, shadowy torch songs, and touched by Americana Roots-Rock, it is truly Michele Kappel’s own brand of music.
