Robin Applewood

A musical renaissance man, Robin Applewood sees his career as giving back. His songs tell a tale of Love and the struggle of everyday living, tempered with an "everything's gonna be alright" attitude. Such a positive vibe is combined with a dynamic mixture of rock, reggae, funk and soul to offer an upbeat sound that appeals to a wide audience.

Robin, also known by his DJ name Dogman Joe, is releasing his fourth full length album "Resonator," which was produced, arranged, mixed and performed by Robin himself and features collaborations with many of the hottest Bay Area talents. In addition to receiving three honorable mentions on VH1 Song of the Year, Robin was selected for the KFOG Local Scene CD and received extensive international radio play.

An active member in the Bay Area music community, Robin founded Bay Vibes and co-founded ULUV, trusted hubs for local musicians and fans. Through these organizations Robin has co-produced over 400 live music events, including 6 large festivals and a multitude of benefit shows for charities and non-profits. Recently Robin's focus has been on working with artists of all genres in his recording studio and playing concerts for isolated individuals in jails, prisons and drug rehabilitation centers.

Sang Matiz has been performing for 7 years, fusing energetic World and Afro-Brazilian/Peruvian beats with contemporary rhythms such as Pop, Jazz, and Funk. They've perfected a unique combination of styles that is best described as catchy, syncopated melodies with flamenco-styled finger picking and a touch of Funk. It's as if the Gypsy Kings and Jamiroquai had a baby in South America!

Thanks to a grant awarded by The California Arts Council Endowment for the Arts and The San Francisco Arts Commission for Cultural Equity, they released the album, “Ship It!,” and are currently in production of their second album. In August 2015, they were chosen and honored to open for the legendary Cuban band Buena Vista Social Club Orchestra for their final “Adios Tour," followed by a 2016 invitation to share a stage with the eclectic and distinguished LA-based band, Ozomatli. In light of Sang Matiz's continued success and growing popularity, they will be joining forces in May of 2017 with the vibrant and internationally famed Gypsy Kings. Throughout the years, they’ve also collaborated with various renowned Bay Area musicians such as: Mario Alberto Silva (Master Trumpeter), Miguelito Martinez (Master Flutist/Composer), and Grammy Award-winner Braulio Barrera (Pacific Mambo Orchestra), among many other national and global acts as Jorge Santana (Malo) and Pete Escovedo.

Maisha Lani

Maisha Lani is a singer/songwriter from Hawaii, greatly influenced by the island lifestyle which has shaped her music as ocean waves mold ancient stones. Lani has also been musically trained in West African drumming and traditional song, instilling a natural rhythmic flow into her music. Lyrically inspired to transcend the most uplifting messages, Maisha incorporates angelic soulful melodies within a weaving of acoustic fingerpicking.
