Summer Breeze: Bands, Brunch & Beyond
Between July 15th and September 9th Music-Kin invites you to a breezy start to your summer Sundays - with bands, brunch and beyond.
Three bands on stage, exciting visual artists showcasing and excellent food and drinks. Free admission and drink specials!
Called "one of New York City's best young storytellers," John Schmitt was born and raised in Buffalo, NY, and his songs are a direct reflection of his experiences growing up there. His simple, honest approach tells stories that hit at the heart of American life. Blending a folk-meets-soul style, Paul Simon-meets-Motown, to go along with thoughtful lyrics and images, John sings about his life in real terms. His new album "Ophelia" is his loftiest work to date. We see on "Ophelia" just how life in the city has affected Schmitt, now a resident of Brooklyn, as he takes us along for many stories of life, love, loss, and coffee consumption.
Erez and the End
Erez and the End’s music combines the elegant intensity of Classic Rock with the rich lyrical tradition of singer-songwriters. Together they create a unique emotional journey that excites the ears and mind and captures the heart.
With just 2 guitars, bass and drums the band presents a charged experience, including a rhythm section that’ll keep you on your toes and guitar work that’ll send you straight back to rock's greats.
Erez and the End is a NYC-based LP Era Rock band, formed in February 2012. Erez‘s music and lyrics are born of experience deeply felt and delivered. The music's synthesis of power and elegance recalls the desert landscape of Erez's early life.
EREZ AND THE END is awaiting the release of their first EP "Silent Mountains", recorded to tape in a fully analog production. No computers were used during the recording process or the mix. This approach maintains the warm, natural sound of the instruments and the emotion the songs convey.
The band's four members are: Erez Eisenman - lead vocals / guitar / harmonica, Nic Travis - guitar / backing vocals, Bennett Miller - bass / backing vocals, Chris Infusino – drums.
