Color War

North America

Twins Josh and Jesse Hasko apply their near psychic proclivities to create spatial and hauntingly psychedelic soundscapes.
Inspired by the scorching desert landscape, altered states, and the nightmare of post-modern America, North America plays a tactile and hypnotic genre bending sound with chiaroscuro qualities in a world that is their own.
After years of traveling the U.S. hanging around in the Everglades, gay clubs, small desert towns, deep forest encampments, happily submitting to where ever they broke down: they found themselves in New Mexico.
Re exploring their abandoned disciplines of Fine Arts and Classical music, the brothers applied their experiences of a drop out existence to a band they would call North America.
The result is unsurprisingly a hard-to-pin-down blend of what has been called everything from post dance, post rock, psych rave noise, to Desert-Psych-Disco-Punk.
With a heavy touring schedule, the band has played to enthusiastic audiences from Los Angeles to Brooklyn NY, New Orleans to Portland Or. Albuquerque to Providence. Sharing the stage with cult fringe acts such as Cocorosie, Holy Fuck, Starfucker, and many more.
