Justin Farren is an acclaimed yet unassuming singer-songwriter from Sacramento, CA. where he lives in a house that he literally built with his own two hands, about which he says is "like living in a museum of my own."
When it comes to his songs, Justin Farren is nothing short of a master craftsman painting lyrical pictures that are firmly rooted in the reality of day-to-day life. His delivery is humorous, thoughtful and engaging. His guitar playing is lively, intricate, and seemingly boundless. The Sacramento News & Review describes him as "The storyteller with an impeccable voice, a guitar and a headfull of funny, tender and engaging observation."
Justin has toured extensively along the West Coast, through the Southwest and beyond. One highlight of these touring includes a series of shows opening for the nationally acclaimed folk artist David Wilcox in packed theaters throughout California, Oregon and Washington. Justin has also been honored to open for national artists including Bret Dennen, Hot Buttered Rum, Matt Costa, Jackie Greene, and John Vanderslice.
James Taugher, formerly Spendthrift, is going back to his soul roots and exploring what established his love affair with music in the first place.
A singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Taugher performs around the Bay Area of California and has garnered eclectic comparisons to Alabama Shakes, Leon Bridges, Allen Stone and James Brown. Taugher’s charming onstage presence and soulful songwriting has thrilled audiences up and down the West Coast and even in some European countries.
He has performed in beautiful venues in California like The Fox Theater in Oakland, Smiley's in Bolinas, Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco and many more. His sound blends Motown and soul with modern funk and hip-hop elements, evoking a sound from mid- to late-60s soul and modern RnB. James Taugher’s first two singles "My Little Lady" and "Please, Please" appear on his debut album, "Lofty Expectations," which dropped October 14th.
Hailing from San Francisco, Wes Leslie, the Bedroom Player is pioneering a genre he calls "bedroom soul."
It lays somewhere between self-aware white kid and Al Green whispering into your ear. His songs are introspective, concerned with love, loss and workers' rights.
They're often narrative, with a story arc and exact locations, namedropping lovers, streets and dive bars in Brooklyn and San Francisco. When not songwriting, Wes is reading about city history, classic cocktails and train travel.
Wes appreciates correspondence, and regularly emails stories, songs and cocktail recipes to those who sign up for his email list.
