MPress Releases Rachael Sage's New Socially Conscious EP
All Net Proceeds To Benefit American Refugee Committee
A soulful vocalist and innovative multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter Rachael Sage is one of the busiest touring artists in independent music, performing 100+ dates a year all over North America, the UK and Europe. She has earned a loyal following for her dynamic piano playing, delicate guitar work, expressive vocals, and improvisational audience interaction.
Sage's new EP of protest songs, "The Tide", adds Sage's voice and music to the current worldwide protests and public demonstrations, seeking justice for all in a turbulent sociopolitical landscape. All net proceeds will be donated to ArcLife.org (American Refugee Committee), one of the world's leading international refugee assistance organizations. Fresh off the heels of her 2016 full-length album "Choreographic", Sage's latest release includes topical subject matter related to the Orlando shooting, Elie Wiesel’s passing, the Syrian refugee crisis and the 2016 US Presidential election. Her current single, "Home", is #17on the FMQB AC Radio Chart in the US; her prior single "Try Try Try" peaked on the same chart at #6.
Sage has shared stages with Beth Hart, Sarah McLachlan, A Great Big World, Judy Collins, Colin Hay, Shawn Colvin, Marc Cohn, Jamie Cullum and Ani DiFranco. She has received numerous songwriting awards including The John Lennon Songwriting Contest (Grand Prize) and several Independent Music Awards. Her songs have appeared on MTV, HBO, and the "Fame" soundtrack, along with a record-breaking 20 placements on Lifetime’s #1 reality series,"Dance Moms" – resulting in over 10 million YouTube views.
