Where most artists put themselves in a box, Sonia Leigh maintains an individuality that is so liberating it extends beyond genre and ventures into a new world of self expression.
From her country upbringing to her rebellious city lifestyle, changes have always been a catalyst for creativity. With past success writing songs for Zac Brown Band and touring across the world with country rockers like Eric Church, it seems that a chapter has been closed and a new one open in her story. Sonia’s most recent projects experiment with new sounds and collaborators, as her music develops into an ever-changing narrative on the human experience.
From Nashville to Los Angeles, from Atlanta to the UK and back - There is no boundary to her musical reach. As an independent artist, she finds comfort in the idea of creating her own opportunity and refining her craft. Still on the move and still changing, Sonia prepares for the release of her next solo record and a dark grunge pop project in 2017. Bringing light into her own darkness, she evokes deliverance and self discovery with
The LiNE is comprised of Virginia Beach's Leland Grant and South Dakota native Hailey Steele. As soon as the two met in Nashville in 2008 while pursuing their own careers in country music, it was off to the races. The pair immediately started writing, and with the help of hit songwriter and producer Stephony Smith, The LiNE was formed. Their music has the harmonic influences of The Beatles and Simon and Garfunkel, vocal influences of Don Henley and Sheryl Crow, and the keep-them-guessing lyrics and almost tangible tension of Fleetwood Mac. They have appeared together on season 2 of NBC's The Voice, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and more. The LiNE has toured the country in many different ways, including a multi-city NASCAR tour that included singing the National Anthem live on ESPN. After the voice, The LiNE took a break to pursue their solo endeavors. During that time, Leland has garnered attention (breaking top40) as a producer, writer and has toured the world working with different artists. Meanwhile, Hailey has written songs for artists like Raelynn (Boyfriend) and Kalie Shorr (Fight Like A Girl) and been a part of CMT's Artist Discovery Program. The LiNE has continued to remain friends and create music together, and will be releasing a full length record of fan favorites as well as new material in 2017.
Jacob Thomas Jr.
Born and raised in Southern Lousiana, one listen and Jacob Thomas Jr. would have you figuring he spent his youth performing in cowboy bars and trucker dives. You'd only be half right. While Saturday nights were spent cavorting with sinners, Sunday mornings would find him, albeit hungover at times, entertaining saints.
Outfitted with only his acoustic guitar and his voice, Original Sin, Thomas' debut LP, is a collection of experiences. With the majority of songs being first takes, the lack of production invites the listener to pay close attention to what's being said, the stories being told, and the heartbreak being felt or dealt. Jacob never pretends to be the good guy, and his honesty, which can be unsettling at times, is ultimately revealing.
