New York City will host the 3rd Annual American Beatboxing Championships grand final battle. The World Beatbox Association (WBA) returns with America's top 16 beatboxers who will battle it out live in an "8 mile style” display of America’s best beatbox masters.

This year's championship event will be broken up into 2 days with the Grand Finals being held at Le Poisson Rouge as well as an opening night International Open Mic series, featuring beatboxers from across America with special showcases by reigning American champion J-Flo at Littlefield performance arts gallery in Brooklyn.

The weekend long American Beatbox Championships has garnered a reputation as a gem amongst New York City’s summer musical landscape. Co-headlined by America’s Got Talent top finalist Butterscotch, who captured the hearts of American audiences by mixing her soulful voice with stunning beatbox, piano, and guitar. Butterscotch became the first female to win a World Beatbox Championships. Also leading the night’s performances will be Maya Azucena, the chart topping Grammy-award winner who has been one of New York’s leading independent voices in soulful music. Returning to the judge’s chair will be the 7-time Grammy nominee and Godfather of Beatbox Rahzel of the Legendary Roots.
