Be Steadwell is a singer songwriter from Washington DC. With roots in jazz, acapella and folk-Be composes a soulful blend of genres into what she calls queer pop.
In her live performances, she utilizes loop pedal vocal layering and beat boxing to compose her songs on stage. Be's self-produced albums feature her earnest lyricism, proud LGBTQ content, unapologetic silliness, and the art of the simple love song.
Jessie Davis presents: After Havana. A night of brand new original music written by Davis in Havana, Cuba. Jessie Davis has just returned from a 3 week writing retreat in Cuba where she developed a catalogue of 20 new songs! This will be a night of story telling, sharing experiences that inspired some of this new music, and presenting the sounds that were inspired by one of the most enchanted places in the world!
Based in Brooklyn, Jessie Davis’ eclectic sound is best described as Future Soul. Founding “The Nebraska Jones Experiment” as a one woman show on a subway platform, the project has since culminated into a 4 track EP that is set to be released January, 2017. An undeniable talent, Jessie’s voice goes from soft and sultry with classic familiarity to filling every corner of the room with an electric intensity in the skip of a needle. The list of Jessie Davis’ collaborators reads like the liner notes of mix tape for a summer crush, within the span of a decade Jessie had aligned herself with some of the strongest talents in the industry. Be it a microphone, turntables, or a piano when Jessie Davis steps behind one she demands your attention, taking everyone in the room on a journey through sound.
Newark, New Jersey native Amanda Holley is ready to make some noise as she is set to release her debut single, “Feenin”, produced by 2016 XXL Magazine freshman class producer Oh Kay Laws. With the finesse and delivery of a seasoned veteran, Amanda Holley shows off her 5-octave range and sultry powerhouse vocals atop the hard-hitting, yet smooth, electronic Pop/R&B production. With an arsenal of songs ready to go, this is just the first taste of the ultra talented multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter Amanda Holley. Stay tuned.
