Straight from the lush, humid tropics of Colombia comes, Rakel, a distinctive artist whose lyrics, composition and interpretation are the result of her remarkable tenacity to find means of expression throughout art and music.
In her impressive debut album “Milagros Orgánicos” (Organic Miracles) her unique style and feel-good vibe come through along with her unique artistic sensibility.
“Milagros Orgánicos” is the culmination of the artist’s earlier experience as an established fashion designer and overall visual artist. For this album, produced by five-time Grammy winner Iker Gastaminza, Rakel paired up with the best and brightest in the music industry.
In addition to her own inspirational compositions in “Milagros Orgánicos”, Rakel also worked in collaboration with widely recognized songwriters such as Cristian Zalles (Ednita Nazario, Ricardo Arjona, Chayanne, Olga Tañón, Ricardo Montaner), Juan Gabriel Turbay (Andrés Cepeda, Melina León) and Javier García (Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan), Jorge Luis Piloto (Celia Cruz, Olga Tañon, Christina Aguilera, Luis Enrique, Chayanne) and Sebastián Yepes, ex lider of the popular Colombian band San Alejo, he wrote the song ‘Entre Nosotros’ and sings it in a duet with Rakel.

Her first single “Lo Que Respiras” (“What you Breathe”) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gp2pujL2Rk rose in only two weeks to #15 at the music portal ReverbNation (www.reverbnation.com/rakelmusic) as well as #14 on the Radio charts in Medellin, Colombia. While the college radios in the United States also supported the single. The videoclip was director by the renowned Simon Brand (Ricky Martin, Wisin y Yandel, Belanova, Fanny Lu, Juan Luis Guerra, Juanes, Enrique Iglesias, Ricardo Arjona), it was released by mid 2011 and immediately was played on MTV Tr3s, MTV Latinoamerica, HTV, Mun2 and most of the video channels in the U.S
Her second single ‘En El Tiempo’ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGm5M7-eaw4 received airplay in the college stations in the U.S. (California, Chicago, Massachussets, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Washington, Texas) and it also went into rotation in the commercial radios of Colombia such as Radio Tiempo, La Fm, Boom Estéreo. The video was directed by Kenneth O’Brien (Don Tetto, Fat King Bulla) and it is played on MTV Tr3s, HTV, Batanga.com, Univision.com, Terra.com, AOL Musica, VIP Latino, among others.
Her third single ‘Tal Vez’ is very catchy upbeat pop song, will be work nationally in commercial radios as well as college radio starting mid May and the video will be available by mid June.

Ulises Hadjis

Ulises Hadjis is a Pop singer-songwriter whose work has been called “the BEST KEPT SECRET of new Venezuelan music” by HTV, and has been praised for its simple melodies yet heavy lyrics. Apart from being a musician, he graduated from sociology and most recently received a Master degree in Philosophy which are contributive factors in all of his songs. Ulises believes that “the subconscious plays a very important role in all artists’ creation process”. His current album, Cosas Perdidas, and lead single, Donde Va, were featured and reviewed by influential music blogs and sites worldwide such as Club Fonograma, El Amarillo, Yahoo Music, and Sounds and Colours who called Ulises “one of South America’s FINEST POP PURVEYORS”. He is currently promoting his new album in the US with dates in New York and Miami.
