Germain Bigou is a French musician from Paris, France.
Having begun his career in the early 2000s, Bigou is now a recognised actor in the global drum & bass scene, a dance music genre with roots in England. After years of small independent releases, his first notable professional releases came via the UK label Cosmic Bridge in 2012 followed by the Astrophonica label, also UK-based. Since then he has received further recognition and support from noted drum & bass pioneer Doc Scott, who released Bigou's productions on his own label, J-Kenzo, and with remixes for US producer Machinedrum's Vapor City project on the Ninja Tune label. Recognising his progress, FACT Magazine included Bigou as a producer to watch in 2015.
Bigou's music has appeared regularly on UK radio stations including BBC Radio 1 and Rinse FM, as well as various radio shows around the world. He has performed live, in a unique dub style rooted in Jamaican tradition, in various European cities, as well as China. He has appeared at noted festivals such as Sun & Bass (Italy), Fusion (Germany), and Telerama Dub (France). A forthcoming tour in 2017 will take him to Australia.
Already widely regarded as one of the world's great soups, Tom Kha also works hard throwing bass music events in the Seattle area. Our flagship event, SPECTRUM, takes place every first and third Thursday at The Monkey Loft. Join us twice a month for a showcase of styles across the spectrum of electronic music. With established headliners taking the stage alongside up-and-coming talent, Tom Kha Productions is dedicated to exploring the past, present, and future of bass music.
Griffin BOGL is a little bit of an anomaly. No matter what city you are in he might just be at the same party, right next to you. He states SF as his home base, but I'm pretty sure the BOGL spaceship is from parts unknown. After his sets last year, people were raving, literally! It was even likened to drunken Kung Fu, the way he bobbled around behind the decks seamlessly mixing the strangest tunes for what was to become some of the most diverse sets.
BOGL is a guy that can't be pigeonholed. His sets and production always surprise and his sound is on the constant evolve tip. Don't try and understand this man, just show up with open ears, ready to hear something fresh!
With Jungle as his true love, Robin Weber has been steadly producing and Drum n Bass over the recent dark years of dubstep taking over the whole scene. A founder and resident at San Francisco's monthly Dnb/Jungle IN2IT, Robin has been keeping the original dance bass culture alive by playing nationally on festivals and for special events like San Francisco's Love Parade.
