Fast Piece of Furniture, Bats in the Belfree
The Feasters

Fast Piece of Furniture
Fast Piece of Furniture is the vehicle for the music of guitarist/singer/songwriter Tony Lowe. The music evokes late 70s New York, mid 60s California, and the decaying midwest that he grew up in. The band's lineup has included Jeff Nelson (Minor Threat) and Todd Swalla (Necros, Laughing Hyenas) on drums, Mahlon Orrin (Black Dahlia Murder) and Aki Yoshi (the Seshen) on bass, and Erika Kuester and Mahesh Rao (the Seshen) on keyboards. Originally the band was based in Toledo Ohio, where Tony partnered with Jeff Nelson to record the debut album Adventures in Contentment in the sprawling Victorian Paddock Mansion. The results are available on Dischord and Adult Swim Records. Fast Piece is now based in the San Francisco Bay area. The latest recording, No Springs Honest Weight is out now on Adult Swim Records.
Bats in the Belfree
Born and raised in Hawaii on the Island of Oahu, Christian Von Hamm (Guitar/Vocals), Riley Sieverts (Bass/Vocals), and Kimo Carpenter (Drums/Vocals) knew they had a passion for music from a young age. While attending the same high school the 3 piece Indie/alternative group put together their first band, though initially playing reggae music and consisting of 6 members, the band, previously known as Herban Illusion, played mostly at friends parties, open mic nights and eventually worked their way into the bar and club scene opening for more established local acts. As their passion for music was quickly growing the group hit a speed bump, a few of the members were graduating and moving on to college; The band disassembled and needed to start over. The group shrunk down to a trio and took on the indie/alternative style that they are today; Bats In The Belfree was born.
The 3 members came from different musical interests and backgrounds, which made the transition difficult at first, but the more they played together these diverse backgrounds and influences shaped together nicely to form the infectious sound they have today.
Now with their debut EP “Circus Club” completed the band is excited for what the future has in store.
The band notes Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kings Of Leon, Phoenix, The Killers, The Kooks, Band of Horses, and MGMT as a few of their many influences.
