Kristen Schaal (born January 24, 1978) is an American actress from Longmont CO, writer and comedian, best known for her roles as Mel in the HBO series Flight of the Conchords, as Louise in Bob's Burgers, as Hazel Whassername in 30 Rock, and as a contributor on The Daily Show.
In 2006, Schaal was invited to perform at the 2006 HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen where she won the award for "Best Alternative Comedian." She was also the winner of the second annual Andy Kaufman Award (hosted by the New York Comedy Festival), Best Female Stand-up at the 2006 Nightlife Awards in New York, and "Best Female Stand Up Comedian" at the 2007 ECNY Awards. At the 2008 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, she won the Barry Award for her show Kristen Schaal As You Have Probably Never Seen Her Before, tying with Nina Conti. Also in 2006, Schaal appeared on the first season of the Comedy Central show, Live at Gotham.
Kurt Braunohler is an “adult” male comedian. In the spring of 2012 he was measured at 6’4”, weighing 204 lbs and tagged with a radio transmitter.
He recently was named one of Time Out NY’s “50 Funniest New Yorkers”, as well as a “Comic to Watch” by Comedy Central and the New York Comedy Festival. He was even called the “Best Male Stand-Up” by the ECNY and “Best Unscripted Host” by the New York Television Festival, but those are probably made up organizations anyway.
Kurt has been seen (or heard) on TV in Bob’s Burgers (FOX), Delocated (Adult Swim), The Heart She Holler (Adult Swim), Comedy Central Presents, Jon Benjamin Has a Van (Comedy Central), Assy McGee (Adult Swim), Human Giant (MTV) and the anti-game show he hosts, BUNK!, will premiere on IFC in June. He can also be heard on the radio on This American Life talking about his relationship Rumspringa.
As a stand up, Kurt will debut his high-energy, absurdist point-of-view on Comedy Central’s John Oliver Presents in June. As far as stages, Kurt has performed at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival, Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal and Chicago, New York Comedy Festival (named a “Comic to Watch”), SXSW, Bonaroo, All Tomorrow’s Parties, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (IF.Comedy Award nominee), Melbourne Comedy Festival (Barry Award Winner), the HBO Vegas Comedy Festival, the Chicago Improv Festival (“Improv Ensemble of the Year” Award Winner) and he once performed at Radio City Music Hall, but only because his comedy partner (Kristen Schaal) is pretty famous.
Kurt co-created a pilot for Channel 4 in the UK with his comedy partner, Kristen Schaal, for their popular web-series, Penelope: Princess of Pets. The duo also have hosted the NYC staple variety show, Hot Tub, for the past 7 years.
Kurt also hosts the monthly late night talk show, Night of the Living with Kurt Braunohler, with past guests including Zach Galifianakis, Ted Leo, and Jon Glaser. Kurt holds the World Record for leading the most people in an all-meow version of “Lean on Me” (it’s 117 people.)
Abbey Jordan burst onto Denver's comedy scene toward the end of 2011 after contributing to multiple scenes around the country. Abbey's brand of outrageous humor is textured by her life experiences in San Francisco and France among other locales. Abbey hosts a new ongoing show at Denver's Deerpile above City O City called The Finger and has been featured in shows all over town in a very short amount of time. We're thrilled to have Abbey! Get in her crawlspace!
