Like a siren from the shore, Moonshine Maybelline lures you in with spellbinding ballads,
mesmerizes with moody soundscapes, and crashes your broken heart into their country-rock.
Catherine Foreman’s powerful vocals and instantly memorable songs are the centerpiece of this dynamic 5-piece band from San Francisco. Sparks began to fly when she teamed up with twang-rockers Bob Spector (guitar) and Ted O’Connell (bass) of The GoldDiggers and the lineup was solidified with Ian Taylor Sutton on pedal steel and drummer Steve Pearson.
Moonshine Maybelline was introduced to the world with a live performance on college radio leader KALX which earned a spot on their “Best of 2014” list and a SXSW showcase opening for hometown favorite Chuck Prophet.
The band continues to shine on the local scene with appearances ranging from The Fillmore Poster Room to an outdoor concert at Pixar Animation Studios and top local clubs including Make-Out Room, Armando’s, The Starry Plough and The Lost Church.
Greg Dale is a local bay area musician active since 1987. He is currently performing as a solo act and working on and up coming full length album “Winter's Ghost."
He also lends support to the Buddha Brothers featuring the mighty Gary Floyd on vocals formerly of The Dicks and Sister Double Happiness.
Former acts recent to past include The Night Falls (Colt), Scott Kelly and the Road Home (The Forgiven Ghost In Me Eternal Midnight 7 inch ), Greg Dale (Songs From The Shallow Water), Sorrow Town Choir (Espinas de la Vida and As It Should Be), and, lastly, Jill the Witch.
The past year has seen an abundance of free material and a new album (Desata tu Corazon ..... roughly translated Untie Your Heart ) released online only at http://gregdale.bandcamp.com
The whole idea behind the bandcamp page was to learn the process from the other side of the wall..... the more you know.
Joining me at this show will be two members of the The Deep Space Trio who played beautifully on upcoming release. Pete Schmitt on stand up bass and John Casey O’Donnel on guitar.
"Your music makes me want to hole up in a dark room and cut myself and watch the Crow " Security Guard at DNA Lounge....... and, in a nutshell, that's what keeps me going.
