"Recognizing the talent and passion of Massachusetts natives, WITHIN THE RUINS, it's no wonder Victory Records added them to its growing roster. This quintet is armed with a unique take on blending technology and metal together to write music that sets their band apart from the numerous metal bands today. WITHIN THE RUINS have mastered their technique of bringing breakdowns, riffs, tempo and a dash of personality together in order to form one cohesive entity. The development of WITHIN THE RUINS first began in 2002. That was when founding members Joe Cocchi (Guitar) and Drummer (Drums) began taking a more serious approach and started heading out on the road, doing DIY tours from 2006-2009. At that point in time the lineup was comprised of Tim Goergen (Vocals), Mike Beaujean (Bass), and Kyle Marcoux (Guitar), in addition to Cocchi and Drummer. As things progressed for the band, January of 2010 brought change when Jay Van Schelt (Guitar) was brought in to replace Marcoux; this change refueled the band to write their best record to date entitled INVADE." - last.fm
Molotov Solution is a deathcore band from Las Vegas. The bands lyrical content has to do with government conspiracies, which is very uncommon in the death metal/deathcore scene.
Released a demo in 2004, then in 2005 self released their EP "The Path To Extinction."
In 2006 they signed to 12 Gauge records and released a split album with War From a Harlot's mouth which had a mix of deathcore and grindcore.
In 2008 they released a self-titled album with a more straight forward, groove oriented approach:
"Molotov Solution's latest release is a big step forward for the band, a much more groove-oriented affair that sees the group toning down the grindcore influences once prominent in their sound for a much more immediate, focused attack."
"I was kind of tired of writing riff after riff after riff, not really repeating anything," Pina says, flanked by heavily tattooed new guitarist Joe Brady, who boasts more ink than "War and Peace." "I wanted to make very solid songs and make things distinguishable on the album.""
Released "The Harbinger" on June 9th 2009 on Metal Blade records.
San Diego favorites, Adestria, have been working their way through the ranks of the music scene and showing no signs of stopping anytime soon. Recently labeled #5 Unsigned Band by AP magazine, this band blends big breakdowns with melodic piano and catchy guitar riffs. Known for their live performance and unqiue stage show, Adestria will be making their way around the US this summer. Fans of Asking Alexandria and August Burns Red will find Adestria to be the perfect mix of fast heavy music, gang chants, and memorable choruses. Expect a full length album to come out in 2011.
