Funeral Club was founded by husband and wife, Joseph and Jenny Andreotti .
Funeral Club’s Waves & Waves was inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s Hour of the Wolf, Maya Deren’s At Land, and Robert Altman’s 3 Women. Waves & Waves is a surreal look at obsession, desire, and isolationism. This time around Funeral Club traded a remote desert landscape for the hypnotic repetitive sound of the ocean waves.
In the spring of 2011 Funeral Club recorded their third full-length, In the Fire. The record was produced by Raymond Richards (Local Natives, Parson Redheads) and mastered by Kramer (Damon & Naomi, Low). In The Fire was influenced by the idea of paying homage to experimental film makers Maya Deren, David Lynch, David Cronenberg, and film composer Ennio Morricone.
The record was self-released as were all past releases under the names Funeral Club & The Grizzly Owls, The Year of the Bloody Sevens LP (2010), By Night On My Bed LP (2007), The People Have All Gone EP (2009), and I Am A Shootist EP (2009). In 2008 RCRD LBL released the single, Whiskey & Clyde.
Funeral Club have continued to play mostly in the Echo Park/Silverlake area in Los Angeles at Spaceland, The Echo, Echo Curio, The Silverlake Lounge, and The Echo Park Film Center, performing with Damon & Naomi, A Hawk & A Hacksaw, The Wooden Birds, and others.
Their releases have received critical acclaim from such media outlets as Pop Matters, Lost At Sea, Stranded In Stereo, Art Rocker, God Is In The TV, Unpeeled, Web In Front, Buzz Bands LA, EarFarm, Power of Pop, Indie For Bunnies, as well as being voted Los Angeles band of the month at Deli Magazine.

Dead Dawn

Los Angeles based band making music for true Angelinos. For the souls of these streets beyond the neon signs.
Founding members China Morbosa and Abilene Fawn began Dead Dawn in the summer of 2010, in an old Echo Park house.
Birthed was a breath of something true. Something real. And real loud. 5-Track is on bass and Chris Kennedy is on drums.
Family from the musical community such as Alex Maslansky, Amanda Jo Williams, Danielle DeVincenzo, and Lil'Feather have all shed their talent and love in this band. Hypnotizing, Honest & Heavy.
Dead Dawn is an expression of our beautiful, horrible, colorful, crazy subterranean culture.

If Los Angeles were anything like Salem, Massachusetts during its 17th century witch trials, this all-girl four-piece would be burnt at the stake for their craft. Instead, the eerie melodies of California natives L.A. WITCH haunt the City of Angels from stage to stage, with their blend of alluring vocals, twangy guitars and heavy drums accented by ethereal harp notes and ominous organ lines. The witches' live performances bring forth a dark and moody ambience that is not to be missed. In a land of endless acts, these girls have shown tremendous dedication to their craft, setting the stage for a new breed of haunting heroines.
