DJ Sean Glass
sgdj, aka "Sean Glass," has great calves. He knows it. He rolls up his jeans every day in respect of this.
Born "Sean Glass," sgdj debuted in 1984 at New York Hospital and soon after followed that up by being raised in New York City. Later SG aged and became interested in music and film. Due to those interests, he decided to spend the good majority of his time, well, DJing and making films.
On the music side, apart from DJing, Sean has worked in A&R departments of labels like Universal/Republic Records, Epic Records and Glassnote Records, and Marketing/Promotion for Cornerstone/Fader Magazine and Nervous Records. He's proudest of his underpaid and barely credited work "doing everything" on the Anchorman soundtrack, which was hilarious.
Trouncing all of those accomplishments is the fact that he was the only two-sport college athlete from his high school, although he did attend art school for university, pretty lame, but whatever.
The name sgdj comes from Sean's girlfriend, who calls him "S.G." She would frequently text friends saying "come see SG DJ." Over time, it was interpreted that "sgdj" was SG's DJ name...so...yeah.
sgdj can be found at his weekly NY residences at Standard Hotel's Boom Boom Room, Gramercy Park Hotel's Rose Bar+Rooftop and Kenmare. He has DJ'd at, like, ya know, all over and shit...Pacha NY, The Plaza Hotel NY, Soho House NY, Tropicana Lounge at Roosevelt Hotel Hollywood, Surf Lodge Montauk, Bunker, Sweet Life Music Festival DC, Jane Hotel, Bowery Hotel, Le Bain, Don Hill's, De Santos, Gold Bar, Ace Hotel NY, Eldridge, Sundance Film Festival amongst, like tons more and all that.
Big Meat Loaf fan. I'm the kid taking the picture on the bottom left hand corner of John Starks' "The Dunk" poster. I told all of U2 and Chris Martin that they suck to their faces at dinner once.
