Victory and Associates

Victory and Associates write rock anthems that you didn't know you needed. Take the parts of huge classic rock you may actually WANT to turn up, mix it with the parts of indie rock that ROCK, funnel it through post-punk sensibility with driving, energetic force and you are on the trail to victory… and associates. This is the sound of giving a high five, this is the sound of being alive. Victory and Associates have been around the block, know their way around a good song and endeavor to deliver something exciting to both musician and non-musician alike. These things are FACTS.
"That kind of sly irreverence is exactly what we'd expect from Victory and Associates, an outfit that matches anthemic rock with punk energy and sharp-tongued critiques of materialism, narrow-mindedness, and other unfortunate but common traits of American life in 2011." - SF Weekly
"Victory and Associates have all the flavors of the best anthemic rock while leaving behind the synthetic lyrics and sophomoric dressings that usually go along with such song writing." - SF EXaminer

Hurry Up Shotgun

Oakland’s Hurry Up Shotgun have been playing their muscular noisepop/rock for audiences across the bay area and beyond for 5 years now, growing more powerful with every show. In April of 2011 they went into the studio with Toshi Kasai (Melvins, Helmet, Jello Biafra, Tool) and recorded their 2nd album.

A self titled album, these ten songs serve as a reintroduction to Shotgun’s unique take on music. With varied sounds and pop sensibilities, songs target such themes as introspection, social injustice, and dirty-hippie love. The tracks are big, energetic, harmonic, and full of hooks. Consider Hot Snakes meets Husker Du, with tons of pretty vocals.

"...Their music in this current batch o’ tunes FEEL like they are NOT OF THIS TIME, which is to say, these songs do not fit into any current genre bin. Hurry Up Shotgun STANDS ALONE." - Thirdcoast Digest/Stripwax

“...This Oakland power trio cites fear of the modern world as a primary source of inspiration, and the three members have designed their music accordingly...” - Rachel Swan, East Bay Express

"...They’ve taken great strides as songwriters and there is reason to believe that they are just beginning to fire on all cylinders." - Built on a Weak Spot

Hurry Up Shotgun plays shows throughout the Bay area, as well as up and down the West Coast. Opening for such bands as Archers of Loaf, The Paper Chase, and Totimoshi, this trio is primed to hit their stride with this new album.
