Bigga Happiness Soundsystem was founded in 2001 in Santa Cruz, CA, by Adam Twelve. Bigga Happiness began playing alongside local sounds like Jah Mind's Eye, Livity, Sargasso, Trinity, Lionheart, and Selecta 7 and quickly found success in promoting dancehall events in the Santa Cruz area. In 2004, DJs Kelau and Lionize joined the Bigga Happiness Crew and the sound took to the next level. Adam Twelve and Lionize Began DJing on KZSC Santa Cruz, on the already long-running Joy in The Morning Program, in 2004. Around the same time Bigga Happiness began playing club nights and promoting events in the San Francisco bay area. Lionize began Blessed Coast Soundsystem in 2006, while Adam Twelve and Kelau continued to grow Bigga Happiness Sound.
Now, in 2010, the Bigga Happiness is approaching 10 years in business and is keeping things growing in Santa Cruz, the greater San Francisco Bay Area, and worldwide...
