Evans Blue, Flat Five, Tomorrows alibi, Years Apart, State Your Cause
Evans Blue’s fourth album with long-time producer Trevor Kustiak, the much-anticipated GRAVEYARD OF EMPIRES, is coming April 17th from Sounds+Sights. The first single “This Time It’s Different” is currently Top 30 and climbing on the Rock chart, and the song promises to deliver on its title. Evans Blue has closed their third chapter, and with album four, the band is ready to start a brand new trilogy with a new attitude to match.
Dan Chandler elaborates, “With the last record, we were writing songs before I even met the guys in person, really fast. Since then, we’ve grown a ton as a band: the chemistry between each member, the relationships, and the trust we have developed with each other.” He continues, “I think people will hear a big difference between this record and the last one; the album has a lot to say this time around, and it comes from every one of us in the band.”
The members of Evans Blue unanimously credit their passionate and dedicated fans (aka the “Evans Blue Nation”) for their continued positive, forward momentum. “Seeing what has happened with the last record and seeing the acceptance and the approval, the people showing up, and the crowds growing, has given me more confidence; I feel like I have a lot of people backing me up and supporting where we’re headed as a band,” Chandler adds.
On their last tour, Evans Blue played 4-5 new songs in the set every night to an overwhelmingly positive response from the fans. According to Parker Lauzon, “Adding new songs made our set exciting for us, and our fans got the sneak peek – what’s changing and what direction we are moving in – and it’s awesome to see them get excited about it.” Evans Blue will be back on the road in July 2012 in support of the launch of the new album.
“I’m more excited than I’ve ever been, and I know the guys are with me on that,” Chandler asserts. This is a band that has come a long way on a challenging journey, and every experience has made them stronger. Whoever said “rock is dead” is about to get his ass kicked.
History: Evans Blue debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart in 2006 with The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume, which spawned the Top 5 single “Cold (But I'm Still Here).” They were nominated for a 2006 Juno Award for Best New Group. Their second album, THE PURSUIT BEGINS WHEN THIS portrayal OF LIFE ENDS, was released in July 2007 and debuted at #44* on the Billboard Top 200. Album 3, the self-titled evans|blue, was released independently in June 2009, and “Erase My Scars” went to #23* on the Billboard rock charts in 2010. Between their three albums, the band has sold 1 million units worldwide.
Tomorrows alibi
Tomorrows Alibi is an original four-piece rock outfit from Orange County, NY. Formerly known as Self Automatic, the band has been making music together for about five years now. A lineup change and evolving sound led the band to rename themselves Tomorrows Alibi, and after a brief hiatus, they're once again ready to rock the Hudson Valley to its core. They've made a name for themselves with their hard rocking sound and expert song craftsmanship, and you may have seen them onstage at The Chance Theater Complex in Poughkeepsie, opening for 12 Stones, Nine Days, The Exies, Trust Company, Carolina Liar, and Sponge.
Years Apart
What started as a cover band has evolved into a focused and driven writing machine. With its music as diverse as its members, Years Apart has proven itself to be a band worth listening to. Currently in the studio working on their debut CD, they are still writing and setting up for the next recording. This complex musical mix is also apparent in the successful shows they have performed. Opening for artists like Evans Blue, Geoff Tate, Dizzy Reed and in March Lou Gramm. A hard rock band with melodic undertones coming from 80's to current metal, jazz, rap and grunge that fits and melds into Years Apart. Their all about creating great music and sharing it. Years Apart music is born of emotion that is the roller coaster of life.
