Steve Soboslai (born October 30, 1980) is an American singer/songwriter. He is the lead singer and guitarist of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based punk band Punchline.
Soboslai has produced several records for various artists including Nightbeast (Thriving Records), Barely Blind (TDR Records), The Drama Summer (Eulogy Records), and ThirtySeven.
He appears on Bayside's 2005 self-titled release, singing back up vocals on the song "They Looked Like Strong Hands." Soboslai's also lent his vocal talent to the song "What a Waste of Time" for the Spontaneo album "For Those Who Can Whistle," as well as on the 2008 album "Columbus" by Andrew Dost of the band fun. He portrayed the villain in 6 songs on "Columbus."
"Sad and French are not French. As for the sad? Well it’s lo-fi Americana folk. This two-piece acoustic act can sound like a stripped down Two Gallants or even Jawbreaker when they’re ramping up, or a stripped down Bright Eyes when they’re not. Either way, their hyperbolically heartbroken lyrics provide the perfect soundtrack for shooting whiskey, slamming beers and loudly proclaiming righteous indignation at anyone who’s ever mishandled your heart."
Louis DeFabrizio (Gasoline Heart)
After spending his musical adolescence in Pennsylvania playing guitar and singing in the Philly based punk band, Plow United, Brian McGee packed his bags and his banjo and moved to Western North Carolina. From 1999 to 2011 his time was spent in and around Asheville, playing banjo and guitar in old time bands, square dance bands, building instruments and furniture and writing songs from a new angle. The new angle was born out of folk music tradition. But he also saw that tradition was the basis for rock and rolls songs. He quickly assembled a band called Brian McGee & The Hollow Speed and began touring all over the southeast. He released one s/t titled album under Brian McGee & The Hollow Speed (2008) and another under is own name, 2010's "The Taking Or The Leaving." Last year Plow United reunited at Riot Fest East in Philly. Plow United is currently working on new material. McGee is currently writing new songs for upcoming solo release.
Brian Bond is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and human who writes, records, and performs music both solo and with the band Communipaw. He played with the band We Were Born With Rocks In Our Hands from 2001 to 2007. His first solo release was the 2003 EP "The Orange Telephone," followed by the 2006 LP "Brown Circles." In 2008, he released his "Ten Thousand Songs" EP, recorded on a 35-year old tape machine. He put out his second full length "Fire & Gold" in 2009, and the bare acoustic "September" EP in late 2010. His latest LP "Your Love is Strange" was released in August 2011.
