Emily Mure

“Five songs in, I pulled off the road… The songs had stirred something in me and I felt the need to understand. I was soon on the road again, enclosed in a world Mure had made. While my eyes were awake and alert, my soul was wrapped in a warm cocoon.”
-No Depression

New York City native Emily Mure has journeyed from playing concert halls as a classically trained oboist to busking as a singer-songwriter on the streets of Ireland. Her third album, Worth (September 22, 2017), brings together all of her rich experiences as a musical traveler, spotlighting both her technical ability and gift for vulnerable, heartfelt songwriting.

Mure co-produced the album with Dan Cardinal (Darlingside, Josh Ritter, Ballroom Thieves), with Zachariah Hickman (Josh Ritter, Ray LaMontagne) performing the majority of instruments on this record. Jeff Lipton (Andrew Bird, Arcade Fire, Bon Iver) mastered the album in Boston.

Mure’s songwriting, which she began cultivating during her years at Ithaca College, has been recognized in prestigious national competitions (Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, Telluride Bluegrass Festival) and has been featured on networks including NBC, ABC and PBS. As a live performer, she has shared the stage with notable musicians including Darlingside, Joe Crookston, the Bones of J.R. Jones, and the Duhks.

Ryan Hobler

Eclectic folk-pop singer and genre-jumping songwriter Ryan Hobler has been playing music in and around his native New York for nearly two decades. Performing in various bands and working as a professional audio engineer, Hobler developed a refined, lyric-driven style with a sound that combines intertwining layers of natural acoustic tones, transporting vocal harmonies and surprising arrangements. Thematically, his songs range from intimate personal stories to surreal allegorical explorations that have been praised for revealing a "love, defeat, and resilience in each track” (examiner.com).

Influenced by folk-rock heroes like Paul Simon, Elliott Smith, and Nick Drake, Hobler’s driving force is a desire to connect with others, inspire them, and create great art. With the help of renowned producer Andy Baldwin (Bjork, St. Lucia, Wakey! Wakey!), Ryan released his debut album The Elusive Yes to rave reviews in 2015. In their 5 star review, Songwriting Magazine wrote: "Hobler has recorded an album which proves he’s a songwriter of unparalleled skill, managing that elusive trick of being both introspective and universally appealing." Additionally, they commented: "these are songs of peerless quality which deserve to stand the test of time and become part of music’s great history."
