The City Streets, hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada formed in 2005. They relocated to Montreal in late 2009. They play diverse melodic power pop with the spirit of punk rock always shining a light. They have released three full length albums, ‘These Things Happen’, ‘Concentrated Living’, and ‘The Jazz Age’, and 3 EP’s called ‘If you don’t like the Clash you’re a bad person’, ‘The Hipster Cull’, and ‘Decline of the West’. Spring 2012 will see the release of 2 more full length records ‘Winter Lightning’ and ‘Sawdust & Rum’.
Will Arland (vocals, guitar), Ben Arland (bass, vocals), Conor McGlone (drums, percussion)
Formed in early '08 via clever natural selection of traits and adaptations due to genetic mutations in a toxic pool streaming from the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn, Galapagos Now! appears to be a pioneer species of Ecuadoran lizard that has learned to mimic and originate mating calls many agree is closely related to rock music. Appearing to be a band in Brooklyn, it seems, is a clever kind of camouflage- one which they have used to their selective advantage while cultivating a habitat in seedy new york dives. To complete their speciation as 'band' they have also recorded and released a full length eponymous debut album, as well as their second, "The Beards of London"
