Gideon's Daughter, Eddyville at Centennial Park

Gideon's Daughter

Gideon's Daughter has been together for over a year and is largely influenced by The Civil Wars and Mumford and Sons. Although the band has only 3 members, two of which are husband and wife, they supply a full band sound by playing a deconstructed drum set with their feet.

Members of the band have toured internationally as well as shared the stage with such artists as Cake, The Brian Setzer Orchestra and most recently Styx.

Their debut EP, "Hidden Truth", is set to be released on June 7th.

Eddyville was formed in 2000 when four friends and members of the underground glam country cover band the Silver Mullets stopped dressing in drag and decided to record a real album. The group, consisting of Bruce Zielsdorf on guitar, Jason Nichols on bass, Dave Young on lead vocals and guitar, and Darren Reynolds on drums, convened over a lengthy album creation period, traveling from their respective corners of the US and Canada to write and record "Welcome To Eddyville", released in 2002.

In 2010, Portland saxophonist Kyle O'Brien joined the group and added another dimension to the Eddyville sound with burning solos and spot on backing vocals, not to mention killer Bowie dance moves.

The band is working hard on their upcoming release, due out in the summer of 2012 on Resonant Records.
