New label Summer 2012 from Shiftee and Rx!

New York City's Shiftee has translated his intuitive math geek mentality into far-reaching success on the turntables, electrifying crowds from NYC to London to Hong Kong. With a degree from Harvard, 2 unique DMC World Champion titles, an NYU adjunct professorship, a finger on the pulse of bass music, and an ongoing international tour schedule, this overachiever can do it all.

On Sept. 12, 2009, DJ Shiftee represented the USA in the 2009 DMC World DJ Finals. He took the title, was automatically inducted into the DMC DJ Hall of Fame and brought the fabled gold Technics turntables back to NYC! This new title places his name along side over 20+ legendary DMC World Champs including Craze, A-Trak, Cash Money, DJ Cheese, Rock Steady DJs (Apollo, Mix Master Mike & Q-Bert), Plus One of Jack Beats, and the late Grand Master Roc Raida.

In 2007, Shiftee also became the only American DJ to date to have won the DMC Battle for World Supremacy title. This victory served as the catalyst for widespread international recognition, allowing Shiftee to take his talent and creativity across Asia, Europe, and the US to some of the world's biggest clubs, most prestigious venues, and monster festivals. Along the way, he has performed on show lineups including A-Trak, The Roots, Datsik, Talib Kweli, Craze, RJD2, Doctor P, Murs, Klever, Flux Pavilion, Cash Money, The Beat Junkies, Dieselboy, Bare, Q-Bert, Skism, X-ecutioners, AC Slater, Evol Intent, Z-Trip, and more!

Shiftee's originals and remixes have been receiving support from Rinse FM, DJ Wonder, Pictureplane, Mad Decent, Dev79, Mess Kid, Selecta Fewie, NastyFM, and more. His remix for Xcuse ft. Ayarcana's "All Right" [Deepsession Records] was recently debuted on the prestigious Mishka NYC Bloglin. His groundbreaking DJ mixes have been featured on BBC 1Xtra, Mishka Keep Watch, Kiss 100 (UK), Deepsession, Seclusias' Who Run It !? Podcast, The Rub's Scion AV Show, Dubset, Dubspot, Boundless NY, Noise 212, KNKT3D Magazine, Noisy Dubs, and more.

When he's not teaching the DJ art form at New York University (as an adjunct professor) and Dubspot DJ & Production School in NYC, Shiftee spends his time figuring out new and innovative ways to decimate the dancefloor. He fuses an astute ear for cutting edge music with a world champion skill set, creating an experience that is always one of a kind.

He also enjoys making goofy videos where prevalent themes are dancing and sandwiches. His other interests include film, comedy, Grind Time Rap Battles, mathematics, NBA basketball, and, of course, sandwiches. Shiftee is endorsed by Traktor Scratch (Native Instruments).

Rx, a Philadelphia-born, Brooklyn-based DJ, mixes inspiration from the underground of his hometown and the global scenes of New York, London, Detroit, and Kingston. In his deep and atmospheric cuts, or his high-energy bangers, Rx blends elements of dub, dubstep, hip hop, and techno, bringing quality, forward-thinking music to sound systems worldwide.

In 2009, the underground anthem, “Malt Liquor” hit pirate radio stations around the globe. A collaboration with Chae Hawk, the cut was rinsed by dubstep don Plastician and featured on the “Dubstep LA: Embrace The Renaissance Vol. 1,” the first rap/dubstep crossover mixtape.

2010 has been a prolific year for Rx:

Subdepth Records(UK) released two EPs, “New Years Day” and “Kaleidoscope Island”.

“Bumble,” a genre-bending, bouncey banger came out on Nightshifters (Berlin).

“Let It Spray,” a grimey East-meets-West Coast collaboration with LA-based rapper,

Mestizo, was released on Seclusiasis (Philly).

“Concussions,” a rap meets dubstep EP released on Abstract Logic Recordings (Atlanta).

In 2011 he produced an album for Philadelphia rapper DaQuan called “The W.A.R.: Warrior Art Rebel,” released a collaboration EP with DMC world champion DJ Shiftee “Space Ace,” and remixed NYC artists Hooray For Earth, Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire and The Death Set.

Other Rx remixes include Jupiter One, A Place To Bury Strangers and French Horn Rebellion. His debut full length album is out now on Made In Glitch.
