At only 21 years old Amy Becker has stormed her way through the past few years, displaying a unique ability to mix genres, while expressing an impeccable selection of everything from garage and grime to hip hop and footwork to UK funky and bassline. Spotted by BBC 1Xtra at the beginning of 2012, she held a fortnightly Daily Dose Mix residency on Mistajam's show for 13 months - exceeding any other resident on the show.
Since then, Amy has appeared on Boiler Room, Rinse FM and NTS, and released mixes for Fabric London, Outlook Festival and Thump. Inspired by the likes of Oneman, EZ and Benji B, her radio and gig presence has received international acclaim from some of the biggest names in the industry and propelled her to the forefront of the UK's thriving bass scene.
A constant proponent of all things weird and sci-fi, VNDMG lives to produce technically experimental bass music. By infusing hip-hop fundamentals and MCs in to electronic music, he pushes the listener to experience new and unique sounds while luring them in with familiar crowd pleasers. A high energy DJ, VNDMG prides himself on providing a unique set full of original productions, remixes, and hidden gems.
VNDMG has released music with Saturate Records, Mallabel, High Noon Pact, We Got This, 710 Records, and Daly City Records
As 2013 comes to an end, VNDMG looks back on a year full of memorable experiences. With an established residency at Beat Church in San Francisco, a full gig calendar, and Festivals like Burning Man, What The Festival, Emissions, Raindance, and Lucidity, it is safe to say that it has been a busy year. Having just headlined the "Doing Damage Tour" alongside Indaskyes and Le Moti, VNDMG looks forward to a release on Mallabel Music, with features from Myka 9 and San Williams, a Moanbeams Remix EP with DJ Balance, and an on-going mix series titled, "The VNDMG Report".
Griffin BOGL is a little bit of an anomaly. No matter what city you are in he might just be at the same party, right next to you. He states SF as his home base, but I'm pretty sure the BOGL spaceship is from parts unknown. After his sets last year, people were raving, literally! It was even likened to drunken Kung Fu, the way he bobbled around behind the decks seamlessly mixing the strangest tunes for what was to become some of the most diverse sets.
BOGL is a guy that can't be pigeonholed. His sets and production always surprise and his sound is on the constant evolve tip. Don't try and understand this man, just show up with open ears, ready to hear something fresh!
