Ion High is a NorCal Sludge band from San Francisco California consisting of Jack Hays (Drums), Roy Jorge (Bass, Guitar, Synth, Vocals) and Stephen Rogers (Bass, Guitar, Vocals). They met while working at Dolby Laboratories in San Francisco, CA. Drawn together by a common interest of good hoppy brews and heavy/dark music, they began jamming at Lennon Studios in SF. What started off as drinking beer at their local watering hole, City Beer, and playing Hendrix, Nirvana, Helmet and Jane's Addiction covers soon developed into drinking beer at their local watering hole, City Beer, and writing/recording their own music.

Jack Hays is also the drummer of underground cult heavy metal band, Brocas Helm from San Francisco, CA.. Roy Jorge also is the sole member of the NorCal Sludge band Ninth Circuit and guitar player for Irish trio The Germaniacs, both from San Francisco, CA. Stephen Rogers is the former bass player of Son of Supercar from San Jose, CA as well as the mandolin player for San Francisco based Irish Trio band, The Germaniacs.

Ion High is currently working on their first self-titled album - expected to be released in 2012. Stay tuned for preliminary versions of new songs as they are completed.

Inspired by such modern blues/rock artists as “Government Mule” and Joe Bonamassa, two friends (Mike Connelly and Todd Bernsdorf) decided to start a Power Trio in the tradition of Cream, Jimi Hendrix and Rory Gallagher. Soon after their first jam sessions, Ian McDowell would round out the trio. With Connelly’s dynamic approach on guitar, McDowell’s progressive and unorthodox bass arrangements, and Bernsdorf’s ability to mix steady grooves with modern drum lines, Gemini 6 fuses the essences of rock and blues, with an occasional dash of funk.
