He first appeared on the collab-album Tribute in 2006 with French producer and friend, Quetzal, a Hip-Hop tribute to Soul music which was played several times by Gilles Peterson, Benji B and received critical praise on Okayplayer.com.

At the same time, he started collaborating with Byron The Aquarius, an American keyboard player from Alabama. Together they released an album under the name of The Big Payback in 2007, on japanese label Circulations. A project full of different influences such as futuristic hip-hop, nu-soul and broken beat. They also appeared on highly praised compilations such as Beat Dimensions and New Worlds.

In 2006, year of his first trip to Vietnam, the land of his grand-parents, he managed to bring back some Chinese and Vietnamese vinyls out of which he created a hip-hop instrumental album called Chinoiseries. The stand-out track The Anthem has been included on various compilations, and also covered for TV ads.

He has been selected to attend the prestigious Red Bull Music Academy in 2008, and played at the Sonar Festival the next summer.

His project called 1.0.8, made out of Bollywood samples, has got the Internet buzzing over once again in 2009, and had been elected as album of the week by many different shops across Europe.

Dam-Funk (DJ Set)

Known as Los Angeles' "Ambassador of Boogie Funk," Dam-Funkrepresents the citizens of the Funkmosphere. Headquartered in the Leimert Park section of L.A., Dãm (pronounced: 'Dame' as in Damon) spent the last few years cultivating a musical renaissance rooted in the early-'80s styles known as Boogie, Modern Soul and Electro-Funk.

As a DJ/selector, Dãm attracts the most discerning Boogie Funk afficionados within driving distance of his storied Monday-night Funkmosphere parties. But it's not just collectors at the bar toasting to the melodic sounds. Anyone who grooves to the likes of Slave, Aurra, early Prince, Prelude Records and the like, will get a dose of those groups' unknown contemporaries – more obscure but equally Funk-worthy.

The next phase of the Ambassador's mission is his debut albumToeachizown: continuing the classic West Coast tradition into today's scene with Dãm's own original "Modern-Funk" compositions. By plugging in his arsenal of vintage synths and drum machines, Dãm channels the galactic harmonies of his inspiration into his own brand of new boogie. Stones Throw Records' like-minded honcho Peanut Butter Wolf brought Dãm on to the team to glide into the future with his unique, synth and bass-driven vibe. It's a promising new chapter for Southern Cali space funk.

Taylor McFerrin

Taylor McFerrin is redefining the term “one-man show.” Combining his skills as a producer and performer, Taylor is making music heads around the world take notice as he seamlessly builds songs from scratch with his ambitious solo project. Vocals, Fender Rhodes, synthesizers, samples, and beat boxing are meshed together in his Brooklyn studio as Taylor builds from his roots deep in ‘60s soul to his vision of future hip-hop.

From San Fran to Philly to his current hometown of Brooklyn, Taylor thrives on a solid and loyal fan base through MySpace, combined with shoutouts from Time Out New York and Re:Up Magazine. He continues to gain popularity and captivate audiences at some of the most legendary venues such as Joe’s Pub, Nublu, The Knitting Factory, and Studio B in New York City. Taylor has also toured internationally sharing the stage with artists such as Dego and 2000 Black @ the BOCA party in Italy, Mark De Clive Lowe @ the Jazz a Vienne festival in France, and Karizma at the Southport Weekender in the UK.

The Rude Movements Vinyl Release of Taylor's first EP- "The Broken Vibes EP" in 2006 gained international attention thanks to the title track. “Broken Vibes” debuted on the highly influential Benji B’s BBC Radio show and has been on heavy rotation on Gilles Peterson BBC World Wide Radio. The track was also selected by Garth Trinidad of Los Angeles’ highly acclaimed radio show “Chocolate City” on KCRW for his The Fader’s Suite 903 Series. MTV also took notice of Taylor’s skills and used his beats in promotions for the 2005 Video Music Awards.

Taylor's body of work extends beyond his solo recordings. He is the keyboardist in the cutting edge freestyle Trio "The Cell Theory" and the Drummer and co-producer in the Soul/Rock group RAHJ, whose song "Go with Love" was included on Gilles Peterson's Brownswood Bubblers Series. He also produced the debut EP from Brooklyn MC TK Wonder "The Electric Baby EP". With so many projects, and his highly anticipated first full length solo album in the works, Taylor is sure to keep the buzz on high for years to come.

The Doppelgangaz

From parts unknown dwell the ghastly duo. Matter ov Fact & EP are noted to be the last two descendants of the Rap Lords, summoned to the earth for purposes of wreaking havoc. Doing so with raw word connection over warm, gritty soundscapes, the groggy pack have been spotted smoking microphone devices in the New York Metropolitan area. No word has been said to confirm their whereabouts, but eye witnessed accounts of the short man and height man (with no hype man) sharking, frequenting brothels and boisterously blaring their art from random locations have been documented. Some say they are adorned in black cloaks as others have sworn they recognized the two donning the clothes of civilians. Regardless, The Doppelgangaz prefer anonymity alongside the creation of raw substance.
