Ski Lodge, Ravens and Chimes, Field Mouse, Starlight Girls

Ski Lodge

Ski Lodge is a two-way mirror into the mind of Andrew Marr: multi-instrumentalist, expressionist, and the newest member of the Dovecote Records family. Marr's inward-looking, earnest surf pop suggest, instead of Summer, a longing for Summer on an early Spring day. By funneling influences ranging from The Morning Benders to Arcade Fire and The Smiths into the sound of the Strokes and Vampire Weekend, Marr manages to bypass the epic, opting for a more brassy, lilting croon. It's music about forgiveness, youth, and staying on the long, meandering path toward an eventual home

Ravens and Chimes

We all met when we were forced to ride through a haunted house in the same trolly. By the end of the ride we had written and recorded our first 7''.

We spent some time up in Montreal recording our first album in thee mighty Hotel2Tango with Howard Bilerman. We got signed, toured, went through various trials and tribulations.

We just finished our second album and are making plans before it comes out.

Field Mouse

Field Mouse is a four-piece dream pop band from Brooklyn, NY. Seamlessly interweaving influences from shoegaze, indie, and power pop, Field Mouse offers lush sonic textures and expansive soundscapes to complement the airy, wistful vocals of singer/guitarist Rachel Browne. Through complex and delicate harmonies, the songwriting of Browne and guitarist Andrew Futral breathes new life into common themes of lost love and renewal.

The band has been honing its sound since the release of its 2010 debut, You Are Here, and has solidified its lineup with the recent addition of bassist Allison Weiss and drummer Geoff Lewit. Their latest single, “You Guys are Gonna Wake Up My Mom,” finds the group realizing the their musical vision, incorporating rich synthesizers and feedback to give an edge to its soaring arrangements and pop sensibilities.

Starlight Girls

Starlight Girls released their debut single "Gossip" in Feburary of 2011, catching the ear of some very influential players, including Joanna Newsom who covered the song and bolstered the curiosity about its authors. This show celebrates the release of their new EP, which promises to shatter the grapevine and introduce the world to a powerful new songwriting force.
