The Mission: To introduce new music, talent and perspectives in digital music performance, and showcase technologies that helps to make innovation possible through Controllerism.

The Event: The Status Byte Breakdown is an evening of Controllerism, the art and practice of using musical software controllers to manipulate, mix, scratch, remix, affect, modify, or otherwise create music, usually by a Digital DJ or "Controllerist". This event caters to digital performance enthusiasts, musical trendsetters, and regular fans of music seeking positive, energetic, and skillful live performances through Controllerism. No turntables allowed!

The Battle: The night will be topped off with a Controllerism Battle. Participants will go head-to-head in an all-out button mashing & fader throwing tournament, displaying musical innovation and technical prowess. Live projected video feeds will detail the performances to the audience, which ultimately crowns the winner.
