In The Grove

In the Grove formed in Kansas City, MO around September, 2007 with, Dusty Ferrell, Chris Teuber, Andrew Harper, and Justin Ripetto. The first number of months was spent writing a catalog of songs. In the Grove made its first live appearance on March 29, 2008 at the Riot Room in KC. Travis Buerky filled in as vocalist from March through June of 08. Meanwhile, in May of 08, we began tracking instrumental parts at Blackpage Recordings of what would become our self titled full-length. While at Blackpage, Sam Hoskins took over as vocalist. He fronted the project from July 08 through February 09. Sam tracked vocal parts from October 08 to January 09 at Soundworks Studios in Blue Springs, MO. Andy Oxman mixed and mastered the record. Since the release,we have been meticulously working on a new catalogue of music. In the process, we've found our new singer/ guitarist Shelby Wiest. We now are a four piece moving forward in a innovative and exciting direction. In the Grove has played with bands such as BIGELF,Tweak Bird, Riddle of Steel, Traindodge, Roma 79, Prize Country, National Fire Theory, Paper Cities, Latin, and Thunder Eagle. Our self titled debut is available now. Enjoy! ..

Parts Of Speech

Duo in Kansas City consisting of Brandon Knocke (vocals, keyboards, programming) and Alexander Thomas (acoustic/electronic drums). Though initially formed in late 2009 as a live vehicle for Knocke's solo electronic music, a more collaborative and organic sound evolved out of the creative pairing. The results are sonically adventurous and moody, while the emphasis on groove and melody keep things accessible to a wide range of music listeners.

Sundiver

Sundiver was formed by songwriting pair John Agee (vocals, guitar) & Bobby Bayer (bass, vocals, references) along with drummer Nick Organ in 2010.

They are a power trio.

The group is writing material with the intention of recording an EP this spring and is currently booking shows around the greater Kansas City area.

Radkey

Radkey is a band made up of three teenage brothers Darrion, Isaiah, and Solomon. The music they play is undeniably rock, which they like to play hard, loud and often. Their influences range from The Who to Nirvana and so many in between. They were invited to play last years Afro-Punk Festival in Brooklyn, NY.
Radkey has played with several national acts including the legendary band Fishbone. Be sure to checkout Radkey when they hit your city and support them in their fight to end false rock.
