Deriving their name from the Spanish translation of "Naked Soul", Alma Desnuda spreads a poignant message of community and self-abandonment through the use of what they call 'socially digestible capsules.' Given their rapidly budding fan base after their award-winning single Walls, and with the release of their debut album Middleway, it seems as though everyone they encounter has been eating up these 'capsules' by the fistful.

Back in 2002, before there was Alma Desnuda there were three guys from California, Paul, Joe and Chris, who met on a study abroad term in Cordoba, Spain. The bond they formed during that time was based on an unshakable passion for living life to its fullest. After spending the next five years following their own paths through various countries (Korea, Peru, Ukraine, and India, to mention a few), the three reunited in the Bay Area in 2007 and hooked up with national and world-touring bassist Tony Glaser with a rekindled passion for creating music that is a celebration of life, a catalyst for change, and a source of hope.

With a unique versatility that allows them to transition seamlessly from a full-out dancing, high-energy concert venue to the intimacy of a small, unplugged/acoustic coffee shop, Alma Desnuda can adapt to whatever the situation requires.
