Simon Amstell
Intensely vulnerable and painfully honest, award-winning British comedian, Simon Amstell, attempts again to heal himself in public following his critically acclaimed 2009 tour, Do Nothing. The Guardian newspaper calls Amstell, “The real deal. Where philosophy collides with anxiety: where Heidegger meets Woody Allen." And The Scotsman raves, "One of the most elegant, articulate, sensitive and endearing proponents of 'Soul Comedy’ that there is.”
Glenn Wool
After beginning his comedy career in his hometown of Vancouver, Glenn moved to London in 1998 and quickly became one of the rising stars of the London comedy circuit. He was nominated as Best International Stand Up at the New Zealand Comedy Awards in 2003 and headlined the Stavinger Comedy Festival in 2004. In 2005, Glenn's live show 'You Don't Go To Hell For Eating Elephants' sold out the Edinburgh Festival. In 2009, Glenn made his US television debut on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham. After his appearance at 2010's Sydney Comedy Festival, he was awarded the 2010 Time Out Sydney Comedy Award for Best of the Fest. His album Let Your Hands Go! is available through Stand Up! Records in stores and on iTunes.
Lady Carol
Lady Carol has been performing her act all around the U.K, Europe and Australia for the last 6 years. Accompanying herself on the ukulele she covers songs by a variety of artists including Radiohead, Cab Calloway and Queen. In 2009 Carol was invited to Australia to perform as part of a variety show "The Company of Strangers" which went on to be nominated for several awards including the prestigious Helpmann Award. Also that year she won best music event at the Brighton Fringe Festival , for her debut show, beating Kasabian and Anthony and the Johnsons to the honour. In 2010 she completed a solo tour of Australia which included a run at the Sydney Opera House and also at the Adelaide Fringe Festival. Lady Carol is a regular favourite of the now flourishing UK Cabaret scene, with performances at shows like Gypsy Hotel, Boom Boom Club and La Clique, Along with spots at various festivals including Glastonbury and shows all around Europe. she has also appeared on Irish television channel RTE's show Smoke and Mirrors. A regular at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival Carol has garnered many wonderful reviews for both her solo shows from well respected publications such as Timeout and The Scotsman.
Josh Gondelman
Josh Gondelman is a writer and comedian who incubated in Boston before moving to New York City. With years of experience as a preschool teacher and a pretty good guy, Josh charms audiences using his good-natured storytelling and cracks them up with his sharp, pointy wit. Josh’s comedy touches on topics from rainbows to gangsta rap and makes them all equally hilarious thanks to his terrific writing and performing. In 2010, Josh traveled to Atlanta for the inaugural Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, where he turned heads and captured first prize! Since then he has become an in-demand performer on a national scale. He has performed at the Rooftop Comedy Festival in Aspen, CO, and headlined at the Laugh Your Asheville Off Festival in Asheville, NC. More recently he has appeared in the Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival and SF Sketchfest. Josh’s grandmother was especially thrilled to see him on television on G4?s “Attack of the Show” and MavTV’s “Rooftop on the Road.” His first CD, “Everything’s The Best” was released in November of 2011 by Rooftop Comedy Productions.
