Airships draws on a wide variety of influences but you probably will think it sounds like Lou Reed singing David Bowie karaoke. Singer Jordan Benik also fronts LA faves Sweaters. Ian Conley (Iron Mountain) plays guitar and drives a police car. Bassist Lowell Abellon (Brass Tax) is 25 and is a big believer in making things happen. The group was assembled by drummer Brian Watson (Watts Ensemble) as a way to get back a Rhodes piano he lent Jordan Benik in 2011.
