Swift Technique

While Swift Technique draws from all world influences, their genre is uniquely Philadelphia. The idea of combining traditional jazz and funk with hip-hop seems almost too obvious, but artists are not pushing the boundaries. The music scene needs sincere, soulful performers that audiences of all age, race and background can enjoy collectively. By combining old influences with young, raw energy, Swift Technique is the collaboration of six souls on a mission to flip the music scene upside down.

Mad Bread

Mad Bread is a string band for the 21st century. The music is a unique mixture of bluegrass, rock, folk and blues. The band blends traditional instruments with modern songwriting, creating innovative, genre-bending music that defies classification. At a concert, you'll hear them move effortlessly from boot-stompin' bluegrass jams, to psychedelic folk ballads, to Chicago-style blues-rock with stops everywhere in between.
The Chicago-based band was formed 2006, starting out as 3 roommates just pickin' in the living room. The band began gigging in early 2007 and has brought their unique sound to dozens of venues across the city of Chicago and the Midwest. When performing, the band's philosophy is simple: the audience should enjoy listening as much as the band enjoys playing. It's all about having a good time.

Mad Bread's second album Tune Back In was released in November 2010 and is currently available at shows or online (iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby). Mad Bread's debut album, Southport & Eddy, was released in January of 2008, also available at shows and online.

Pocketfulofscoundrel

Pocketfulofscoundrel's Josh Rowe is a Chicago based singer-songwriter.

Growing up in Lowell, Indiana, Josh became interested in playing music after being inspired by Paul McCartney's bassline in the song Hey Bulldog, by the Beatles. After playing the bass guitar for years, Josh picked up his dad's old, beat-up Harmony acoustic guitar, and began to learn that instrument.

Throughout the years, Josh has written quite a number of songs, from cute and quirky (The Mustache Song) to deep and heartfelt (Chicago, Make Me Weep). Josh has been influenced greatly by Bob Dylan, Elliott Smith, and Margot and the Nuclear So and So's, just to name a few. His music is very lyrically driven and comes from the heart (and the half empty bottle of Walgreens brand wine sitting in front of him).
