Green Street
Green Street is a hip-hop/jazz group, consisting of emcees A-live and Soupa and producer Renaissance. Originally from Boston, MA and now residing in Brooklyn, NY, they are always trying to push the boundaries of hip-hop music. By using everything from samples to live instrumentation, Green Street brings back the sound from the Native Toungues-era while still keeping it fresh and relevant for today’s audience.
Suede Jury
A design-minded MC, Brooklyn native Suede Jury intricately weaves all forms of poetry into his music. Every line is carefully crafted to convey a message, an image, or a concept — delivered with his signature bass-heavy tone & multi-syllabic stutter-step. Suede draws influence from a variety of sources: the early '90s, arthouse films, Africa, women, coming of age in Brooklyn (to name a few), and often touches on themes of personal triumph & the human condition. The Brooklyn MC/Producer/designer describes the range of his sound as "rugged to mellow, with an epic and cinematic vibe." In April he released his debut album "Dreamer's Block" on http://www.suedejury.com
Ed Funk was born and raised in Switzerland.
In 1989 he found his passion in the Hip Hop movement, which helped him to express his creativity with graffiti and breakdancing.
Because music has always played a vital role in Ed Funk's life, a couple years later he started out to spin records and to produce his own beats. He played in renowned swiss clubs, had some of his produced beats released, but needed a new challenge.
In the end of 2007, he moved to Brooklyn, New York, where he pursues his career to the fullest. He is a member of ADG, the largest DJ collective in the New York area.
He has been djing in RSVP Lounge, LIC Bar, Castle Braid, Spike Hill, Blind Pig, Lorna, Montes, Nana, Vig & Sip Lounge. In the latter he was resident at the party series "YO! Sip Hop" with his partner in crime DJ Mak-len. He also djed a party for the legendary female Rnb group Allure.
