They have a purpose and it's simple: No gimicks, no bullsh*t, just heavy metal straight out of the Rocky Mountains. Claiming influence from old school heavy metal, thrash, death metal, and even classical they write songs meant to be cranked up to "11". Prepare yourself for the new breed......................
"I don't know what to tell you... when it comes to our live sets, we're just brutal! We're a metal band first and foremost. I don't think we're a death metal band, but I guess it takes a truly violent breed to enjoy our music. More and more we're finding ourselves in a vein of 'melodic thrash/death' whatever that might mean. Let's just call it Orchestrated Brutality © Come out and see it for yourselves."
Since the band formed in 2005, Iconocaust has undergone many changes. What was then an idea for a new sound in heavy metal has progressed and evolved significantly in the time since. Their sound has grown steadily more technical and brutal while building on a melodic foundation that will begin to truly step forward for the first time with their upcoming 3rd release later this year....
The band first took their music to the studio for their debut release, The Natural Evolution of Metal in the fall of 2005. The band then put together a Production/Promotion company called Metal Evolution to help with the release of the album. The concept was simple... local bands working together for a scene that was united, not divided. Several bands are permanent members and many more are part of the team. Looking for a second guitarist was eventually put second to writing new music, and the band continued on it's course to complete it's sophomore independent release. The fall of 2006 saw Iconocaust in the studio once again. This time they teamed up with Dave Otero of Cephalic Carnage and Relapse fame for The Reckoning of Man (Spring 2007).
A new chapter has begun as they step into 2009, with the introduction of Brian Davis on lead guitar. He joined the band in the fall of '08 as the band was already in the preproduction stages of Judas Complex (2009), working with Ahrue Luster of Ill Nino and Machine Head fame. The new album is their most ambitious effort yet and is sure to blow everyone away.....

Ploy for Extinction
Ploy for Extinction is an original metal band from Denver Colorado that was formed in late 2008. Ploy for Extinction is pure METAL from Denver Colorado and recipient of delectable accolades ranging from induction into the Pandora Music Genome to hearty mounds of tasty reviews by Westword, Colorado Music Buzz, and KBPI’s 106.7. The band consists of co-founder Matt Mainey (vocals), co-founder Matt Fagan (guitars), Mike Tuley (drums), Gregg Block (guitars), and Josh Ruff (bass). The true marrow of the Ploy “Bone” is the sensation rendered from witnessing their awe-inspiring live performances. With a vicious vocal array complemented by highly technical and blazingly fast guitar riffs, machine-like double bass, and multitudes of facial expressions, Ploy for Extinction holds the potential to unite genres, inspire listeners and induce labor.

Controlled Demise hails from Denver, Colorado and 5 different backgrounds, but they have one vision with their music. Stevie and Chepe are the founders of Controlled Demise. Many people have auditioned for positions in the band, but only the best have prevailed in joining. With the addition of Zack in 2007 Controlled Demise found the front man. With the recent departure of Brandon and Chris we have added Gabe and Josh. We have a sound that mixes hardcore and a melodic sound... Melodicore. With Denver as the home base and the world in sight, Controlled Demise will not be defeated.
