Manitoba

Born and raised in New York City, MANITOBA'S punk/hard rock roots date back to CBGB and beyond. Led by former Dictators, Manitoba's Wild Kingdom, and occasional DKT/MC5 frontman Handsome Dick Manitoba, the band is is comprised of a mighty crew. Ross The Boss (Dictators, Manowar, Manitoba's Wild Kingdom) on lead guitar teams up his with pal, guitarist Daniel Rey (Ramones songwriter and producer, Ronnie Spector, MWK). Add JP "Thunderbolt" Patterson (Dictators, MWK) absolutely smashing the drum kit and big, bad Dean "The Dream" Rispler's (Murphy's Law) pounding bass to the mix and there you have it...Two great guitar players and a killer, melodic, throbbing rhythm section led by the world's greatest entertainer. MANITOBA. Simple. Unpretentious. LOUD. FUN. The way it's SUPPOSED to be!

From The Heart Attacks to Poison Arrows to Biters, the long road of rock n’ roll glory for singer/guitarist Tuk has been littered with trashy riffs, drug problems, and dead ends. The usual suicide story that sticks to every tight-pant Thunders junkie like a safety pin on a worn out leather jacket lands a lot closer to sad than success, but if the stigma doesn’t kill ya, it can only make you stronger, right? Probably, which is why Tuk hopes his latest bubblegum machine, Biters, will break through the bastard cliches and avoid the inevitable burst that comes when you sink your teeth into the cheap, sticky solution of reckless days and wasted nights. Whether that happens remains to be seen, but for now our springboard is this self-titled EP, and goddamn it if it’s not screamin’ at me like a gaggle of teenage groupies. With the five deliciously catchy glam punk ditties on board here, I don’t know how the Biters are ever going to avoid burnin’ out in the gutter like a bunch of high school dropouts. This is some magic marker mayhem, man, part Cheap Trick power pop, part New York Dolls lipstick rock, and all jukebox jive. If the Biters aren’t the biggest band in the world real soon, we’re all doomed.

The Keefs, Delaware's newest hit makers, are the perfect blend of old-school punk and rootsy rock n' roll with the melody and hooks of power pop with hints of a glam rock sheen.

Slightly gritty vocals, contrasted with melodic guitar lines define their sound. The Keefs attribute their sound to a wide variety of influences including Cheap Trick, Thin Lizzy, The Ramones, Johnny Cash, Dead Boys, The Clash, Descendents, Social Distortion and old school Motley Crue.
“I was instantly impressed with the Keefs. The Keefs bring back memories of classic 80's sounding punk meshed with some classic rock and roll. The bands that instantly came to mind when they started were the Ramones, The Kinks and the Clash... The Keefs are straight forward solid punk/rock party music. The set was a nice energetic set of 12 hard driving songs with no annoying musical interludes. If you are a fan of the Ramones, The Kinks and 80's style punk music, you need to go check out The Keefs... Go check out The Keefs live!”— Mid Atlantic Rock Reviews
