When, New Orleans-born L.A.- based producer, Trent Cantrelle scored Essential New Tune at WMC 2005, with his smash rock hybrid “Runaway”, he was clocked by Pete Tong as “One of the hottest dance talents from the US”. The instant hit was licensed in over 10 countries and carried on to be one of the top tunes that year.
After breaking onto the global scene his DJ schedule kicked into high gear playing some of the biggest clubs around the globe. Along the way keeping up momentum by dropping heavily charted hits such as Turbofunks “Gotta Move” remix and his reworking of Pete Hellers “Big Love”, which Eric Morillo donned “the biggest tune of Ibiza 2007“. Shortly following, the Deep Flexion “Emotions Of The Night“ remix leaped across genres with a spot on Tiesto’s Club Life radio show and DJ Mag dubbing Trent “Man of the moment“. The high profile productions helped further launch his career in the US and abroad, landing him a residency at the famed Avalon club in Los Angeles and accompanying the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Pete Tong, Sander Kleinenberg and Sandra Collins on tour. In addition to the club circuit, he performed at one of America’s biggest outdoor music events, Coachella Music Festival, and more recently three sets, including a main stage slot, at the largest electronic music event in US history, The Electric Daisy Carnival 2011, with crowds of 100k.
In a day and age where most DJ sets come pre planned and formatted, Trent relies heavily on the energy of the crowd for programming. His sound leans toward big room peak-time house, as heard on his recent releases “Come With Me” and the DMC Buzz Chart top ten “Robot”. Studio duties have seen him work with everyone from Princess Superstar to remixing mainstream acts such as Seal, Maroon 5, and Mutemath. Over the years having amassed an impressive catalog of original tracks and remixes he has appeared on such labels as Ministry Of Sound, Toolroom, Perfecto, Black Hole, Subliminal, Ultra and his own Sounds Like imprint.
2010 saw the biggest year yet for releases with a multitude hitting the Beatport Top 100 and Itunes Top 100. 2011 has been an even more explosive year rounding things off with his #1 Beatport smash “I Want A Freak“.
Denver based collective The Foodchain releases their 'Corpses' project
internationally/digitally through Showoff Digital in 2010. After hearing the project, Showoff CEO DJ Statik
Selektah was so impressed by the album that he inquired about its

Kweli, 1982, Artifacts, & more, the deal was signed.
The group's 'Corpses' features Talib Kweli, Little Brother, Joe Scudda

With Foodchain's 'Corpses' the group vows to make music true to the
heart first, focusing on issues political to social and every point in
between. There are street driven records like Fucc N*ggaz featuring
Talib Kweli, as well as more radio friendly records like Rich Girl
Song featuring Rapper Big Pooh of Little Brother. Politically driven
records like Drama Class and Blind balance 'Corpses' as a well
rounded, inspiring, and powerful project that will be sure to last the
tests of time.
Much like life's circle will live on until time's end… "The Foodchain"
proudly brandishes their love of hip hop as more than a form of
artistic expression or source if income… They see it as a chance to
move the masses.
