Rack 'Em Let's Go!

Richie Kaye is a singer-songwriter-guitarist following a tradition that stretches back to the troubadours. One man, one guitar, one voice. He sings about life (and death and Art and grace) with an original voice clarified by rough experience and seasoned with good fortune.

Compared by one critic to the Fado Portoghese, but clearly American in tone, he writes and performs original music based on his awareness — with all its faults — of the True and Real in the style of the Here and Now.

Formed in 2001, straight from NYC, Dim Wisdom has been playing Rock with Hip-Hop and Pop influences all over the tri-state.

More than anything the members of Dim Wisdom are music fans with a wide variety of tastes across different genres. Their music incorporates these different genres and hopefully blurs the edges so they blend together.

Omar Olivera, a native of Brooklyn currently living in Ozone Park, Queens, provides guitar and vocals. Gabriel Ortega, born in lower Manhattan and raised in Woodhaven, plays drums. They first performed with bassist John De Lao in 2001 at a 9/11 benefit concert at Cooper Union’s Great Hall. Omar and Gabriel played from 2001 till 2006 with bassist Ken Poveda, then Scott Fragala, and finally Aaron Peterson, performing at The Orange Bear, Acme Underground, and The Continental in Manhattan.

Scott Fragala has returned and hails from White Plains, NY. Along with Dim Wisdom, Scott also plays bass for the Anti Folk group The Everybody Knows, and the Jazz trio Dlus. K-Smith, a native of Brooklyn, has become a recent addition contributing his rhymes to much of their new material.

In March of 2009 they recorded "Adjust" at Emandee Studios in Brooklyn and have just released their 4 song EP "Jump" on their site www.dimwisdom.net free for download.
