Driver Friendly

Driver Friendly

Three years after the release of their successful debut full length, Chase the White Whale, Driver Friendly knew something had to change. The music industry was shifting, their lives were headed in separate directions, the future of the band was in question. The band was at a crossroads: call it quits after nine years of making music together or do something drastic. The answer was a retreat to a cabin in the Appalachian Mountains. A place where they could create without distractions or limitations. A place where they promised they wouldn’t leave until they had a new album ready to be recorded. With the help of an avid, loyal fanbase, Kickstarter, and producer Jim Vollentine, they raised the funds necessary to record and release their newest album, Bury a Dream. The 11 new songs on the record replicate the high-energy and soaring, melodic hooks of past releases, but also reflect a bold evolution in the band’s songwriting capabilities. The title at first reading may appear ominous, predicting the end of something great. Yet it merely hides the full lyric, “Bury a dream, watch it grow,” declaring that dreams can die, but sometimes they must pass away in order to grow into something entirely new and beautiful. Driver Friendly is a band reborn with a new found sense of urgency to get their music to as many ears as possible. Look for them this summer on an extensive national tour and the international release of the album April, 24 2012.

Posterra

Stuck-in-your-head choruses, epic buildups, and all out guitar solos. Posterra is indie rock. With a sound people are comparing to My Morning Jacket, Manchester Orchestra, Kings of Leon, and Band of Horses, they have constructed a live show that is to die for.

Out Go The Lights

Out Go the Lights began life as the musical bedroom project of two life-long friends, Alex Clements and Allen Clark. Around grade 8, Alex picked up the guitar and began singing and around the same time Allen discovered a knack for rhythm he had developed while playing Rock Band video game drums on extreme difficulties. They began sending recordings to each other via the internet, to contribute and add onto, the only method of musical communication as Alex lived in Orlando and Allen lived in Ft. Myers 3+ hours away. Time went by, picking up electric guitars and drum sets, Alex began writing songs and getting together in person often with Allen to flesh them out, making them perform-able in a band setting. They released an EP called "Acceptance" in September 2010 and played as a two-piece for an entire year. They began writing songs for their next EP entitled "SUN". Along the way they met the missing pieces to their puzzle, an astute and well-versed bassist named Elliott Lane and a multi-talented, singing manager Sean Egan, to help them properly realize the more "sophisticated" direction the songs were headed, a message much different and too challenging to present accurately as a two-person group. Coming a very long way from their roots, "SUN" is a combination of everything they've learned and loved up to this point in their young lives. The basis of this new record is a blend of raw songwriting and pop sensibilities, supported by a shape-shifting rhythmic backbone of all styles, a myriad of additional instruments including brass, woodwinds, bells, whistles and strings, and a consistent underlying message of ambition and truth. Adversity is no matter and the music will speak for itself. It's here to prove you wrong and make you a believer.
