Aaron and Jake have played together in bands on and off since 1994. In the fall of 2009, they decided it was time to begin a new project together. The two spent the winter working on songs and trying out a variety of drummers without much luck until they contacted their mutual friend, Travis. It became clear that Travis was the missing link in their line-up and after a month or so of practice, the newly formed trio played their first show at the River Rock Jamboree in Entiat, WA, hosted by their friend Tobias Cron. Over the last year or so, they have continued to refine their sound, playing the occasional show. In August of 2011, The Felts entered the studio, with Chad Yenney behind the controls and recorded their first EP, which is soon to be released independently. BOOM!
