JJAMZ, Monte Mar, The New Limb, Busy Living

JJAMZ (pronounced juh-Jamz) is comprised of Jason Boesel (Rilo Kiley, Bright Eyes), James Valentine (Maroon 5), Alex Greenwald (Phantom Planet), Michael Runion (solo), and Z Berg (The Like) and is a musical story of five best friends. JJAMZ will release their debut album, Suicide Pact, on July 10 via Dangerbird.

Only friends as close as JJAMZ could provide such a rewarding synthesis of disparate musical tastes, coupled with perilously revealing lyrics; it's as if Rumours were recorded by My Bloody Valentine, Fiona Apple sang "Heart of Glass" or Andrew W.K. wrote Saturday Night Fever. This mix of accessibility and surprise stands as JJAMZ' greatest asset. In a collaboration which stems solely from the joy it brings and the refuge it provides, JJAMZ have created a record that needed to be written, and provides that same escape for anyone who listens. Montë Mar is a modern alternative/pop band based in Los Angeles, California that formed in early 2011. The group came together out of a collective desire to play original music after frontman, Brian Green, gave up touring as a sideman with numerous artists including Michael Buble to pursue a more creative path. Montë Mar's music tends to be colorful, with thoughtfully layered melodies over a bed of explosive drums, making live shows a mandatory workout for all who attend. They were chosen as one of Myspace Music's featured artists in the summer of 2011 and recently returned from a Summer West Coast tour. Their debut EP, Different Place, was released on October 15th. Montë Mar is Brian Green(vocals, guitar), Bill Zimmerman(vocals, keyboards), Kyle Crane(drums), Capital(guitar, vocals) and Dylan Durboraw(bass).

The New Limb

Known for their incredible live show, stellar harmonies and "genre-bending" sound, indie rock quintet The New Limb are one of a kind. Their approach to music, both creatively and professionally, is as genuine as it is impressive. Pulling influences from a century's worth of song writers, The New Limb truly has a unique but familiar sound. With comparisons spanning from Arcade Fire to the Zombies to Stars to the Shins it would be challenging for any other modern Indie band to find it's place in today's listeners' iTunes collection.

Hailing from Silverlake, The New Limb released their debut album "Sounds People Can Hear," produced by Tom Mgrdichian, on April 3, 2010. "I caught The New Limb when they opened for Miniature Tigers and Freelance Whales... and they stole the show." (creamteam.tv)

Busy Living

Los Angeles rock/pop outfit Busy Living was formed in early 2012 after frontman Mike Moonves left his former band, Chief (Domino). Writing songs of love and heartbreak, Busy Living heavy lyrics are complemented by their upbeat melodies. Rounded out by Jared Sohnen's pounding drums, Tim Hutton's strong bass, Matt Leddy's hooky and atmospheric keys and Drew Phillips' melodic guitar playing, Busy Living brings an energy packed live show that is truly an experience. Busy Living released the "It's a War Out There!" EP in the summer of 2012 and plan to release their second EP in late 2014.
