Buffalo Wabs & The Price Hill Hustle

It’s hard to stay still around these boys. They’ve got that toe-tapping, knee-slapping, boot-stomping kind of sound. They get you moving and shaking. Buffalo Wabs & The Price Hill Hustle—part rowdy honkytonk, part old-time pioneers—equates to a sound that sticks with your soul and leaves you singing barefoot into the star sky.

They pull from all sorts of genres—from Lead Belly to John Prine, from Woody Guthrie to Willy Tea Taylor —to create something unique and deep-rooted. These guys lean into the rhythms of the Ohio River Valley—where they’ve walked upon—and look to the songs in the muddy water and the tradition it carries.

To get “hustled” is to get the full-body musical experience—that head-boppin’, hip-swaying, soul-singing with the stranger next to you. It’s the kind of music that encapsulates you into a community of sound, one that becomes familiar once you hear it, like maybe, you’ve been listening to them forever.

Dead Solders is an American Roots based band from Memphis Tennessee with influences ranging from Rock, Soul, outlaw country, to bluegrass and experimetal music. From Stax to Sun to the delta and beyond, Dead Soldiers have carved out their own dark perspective on what it means to live and die in the American South. Songs about poverty, aging, mental illness, and institutionalized racism are just a few of the topics set them apart lyrically from what the world has come to expect from todays crop of soft handed "americana" artists. Musically the band draws influence from so many directions it's hard to pin any one down. The Band, Tom Waits, Willie Nelson, Randy Newman, Louvin Brothers are just a few of their heroes.

The band was formed in Memphis Tn, in 2011 and consists of core members Michael Jasud (Lead Vocals/Guitar) Benjamin Aviotti (Vocals/Banjo/Guitar) Clay Qualls (Vocals/Bass/Mandolin) Krista Wroten-Combest (Vocals/Violin/Keys) Nathan Raab (Guitar/Mandolin/Bass/Keys) and Paul Gilliam (Drums)
